Ha ...yes I've nearly ironed one of my first attempts flat so must remember to layoff a bit! I got inspired from when I used to design knitting pattern designs for my nan when I was a kid- I did all of the xmen which she knitted into a lovely sweater for me! Ahh memories....those mats are cracking btw!

I have bought a half kilo box from Ikea, like Gemma said, and some basic shapes for making patterns. The box also contained some paper sheets, that I thought should be ironed on the back of the pattern, to keep it together. I didn't try it yet, buy maybe I'll give it a chance sometimes.

Hi Anka,

The paper is what you need to stop the iron sticking to the beads and is then peeled off! It's like greaseproof paper.
