Have you noticed I wasn't here?!!  Sorry I have been so crap and absent, I have been having a tough time for various reasons... one being a huge crisis of confidence which has resulted in my feeling that I can't look at other people's beautiful creativity, so I have been avoiding blogs, forums, and my own blogging has been a bit lack lustre...  I think when you start having panic attacks whilst sewing, it's time to take a break...   :(    But I'm feeling a little bit better now, and made some very firm decisions about my crafting limits for a while... Time to have fun :-)

So, how IS everyone??

So, what are you up to craft-wise over the w/e?  I have 3 wallets to sew and a pair of patchwork baby booties too. My friend ordered the booties months ago, and of course I have left it until the last minute to do them... When will I ever learn?!  I'd love to sit and do some handsewing too - I've been reading about kantha stitching/quilting and I'd love to have a go.

I thought it would be good to start a thread about ideas and plans to publicise the latest issue. I am aware that we need to start selling advertising for the next issue really soon, and I want to be able to say that sales are good! I think issue 3 is absolutely the best issue yet and people who haven't bought it are really missing out on some fab projects and great reading....

I am going to ask Hilary of Craft Blog UK, and Jane at Teawagon Tales if they'll do a review for us. Giving them free access of course. Is that ok with everyone? Especially you Kerry?!

I'm going to have a go at doing Quartz's tute for making fancy bubble wrap envelopes and will blog that, with a big mention of other stuff in the mag.

Anyone else?

I'm thinking of branching out into a little bit of fabric selling (shhhh, don't tell anyone, it's a secret!), and I'd like to get a little logo designed (simple line drawing and some text) so that I can use it on the web and in print, and get a stamp made up too. Can anyone recommend anybody good for this kind of stuff?

I blogged the mag on Monday and we got the nice comment:

"Great!! I was wondereding recently when the next issue was due.  I'm definitely going to get it.  I've already got issues 1 and 2 and they're such good value."

My friend is really keen to find someone who could make this pattern up for her:

Cute toy pigs

I don't have the time at the moment, and am not a great soft toy sewer anyway...  If anyone would be interested in having a go, then PM me and I can put you in touch with her.   :) :)

But I think this is a bit much. Saw this project in the Guardian today:

- originally in Mollie Makes  mag.

and thought, mmm, that looks familiar:

Heather Bailey's pattern...

Am organising a little Christmas ornament / decoration swap round at my blog. The aim is to use a few fabric scraps to create something sweet and Christmassy... If you'd like to join in but you're lacking inspiration then I've done an ideas post today:

So do you have Xmas crafting plans? (is it too soon to ask?).  I really want to make my kids duvet covers (maybe out of this ace Richard Scarry fabric if I can find some in the UK).  I would also like to make my sister and BIL a quilt using this pattern.  Am also very keen to make my dearly beloved a flannel hot water bottle cover  ;D ;D - lucky thing that he is. Very hard to do that in secret though as we are both at home all day.

Tell your Xmas secrets!
