That's a nice looking sewing machine.  I can see why you're looking for a little more space.

Do you know what you'd like next?

I've updated my blog... / Cotton Sateen

I've updated my blog for the first time a while.  I really need to give it a bit of a re-start.

This is the first post for a while about cotton sateen home decor weight fabric.

I've seen this discussion in some of DH's photography magazines.. where people have had photographs copied by painters.  So it's the same picture but rendered in a different media.  I think what was said that legally it was ok because it was different and the painter's own work in so far as they had painted it.  Ethically, it wasn't so clear cut.  It was felt that the original artist ( in this case the photographer) had some moral right to the original image.  A kind of 'Creative Commons' thing.

If you can track them down, I'm sure they'd be flattered to be asked.

Love the look of him and I love the way you've used the fabric to really show of his shape.  Looking good!

I agree.  I really like hand sewing when you have time, just to focus and not be disturbed by anyone... and you don't have anyone nagging for the finished article.  Otherwise, I prefer to use the sewing machine.

Some of paper based ones are ok to iron directly, the fleecey ones aren't.

I always like to iron the fabric first and make sure that are no creases or wrinkles in it otherwise there is a danger of permanently fixing a crease to your interlining and that isn't a nice look :)

Lay the fabric right side down on the ironing board, place the interlining on top - fusible side down and iron. I also like to use a pressing cloth (that means any scrap I have to hand - but it sounded better) This also protects your iron from getting the adhesive on it, which does build up and can make a mess of any other ironing you do.

If your interlining has a number such as H250 or H204 you can find some really helpful video's on the Vilene site (There are no spoken words so you don't need to either read or speak German.)   They're really short but they do show you how to get the best of your interlining.

The link if here:

http://vlieseline.de/English/Products/Interfacings/Iron-on_Nonwoven_interfacings/H_250.htm

(Browse around the menu at the top to see all the different types.)

I feel like a real interlining anorak now !

Hope it helps.

If you advertised with All Craft Media it might be a good idea to catch up with the conversations on Ravelry regarding what is currently going on.
