The Thursday Night Project (09/10/08)
«

Is it Thursday already?
Incy and I have set up a Flickr group for this now, feel free to post your text here and link to your pictures, putting them in the photostream too:
http://www.flickr.com/groups/thethursdaynightproject/
Don't worry if you're not on Flickr yet, you can still upload your photos at 400px wide in this thread
*****
So here's mine:
Bit dark this pic, but I'm going to photograph these better and then list these on Etsy, maybe one on Folksy, and also on my website.

I'm going to fill in the bubble with gelcoat and varnish this copper leaf ring:

If my epoxy resin has arrived (I think it's waiting for me at the post office) I'm going to coat my first batch of scrabble tiles! I need to make sure the paper edges are really flush and give them a coat of PVA before that though. Will add the pendant backs tomorrow:

I'm going to try and rescue these earrings as I put too much yellow resin in and it spilled! A bit of wet and dry paper is in order here. They might not have set for tonight though, so that's why this is last on the list. I am also going to try a bit of scrimshawing a la Fish on the brown section to make them more interesting:

Over to you!

Thursday already??
Kerry - Those pendants are great! Love the idea of being able to use so many different things as inclusions.
Incy - Would love to see a photo of that banner when it's completed. How long do they take you to make?
I knew I should have taken a picture before I closed the lid of the kiln! :
Well here's a picture of today's glassy thing but before yesterday's firing.

Hi, everyone, I am new to this. Tonight i will be trying to finish this scarf. Which I've knitted to show off the different shades in the yarn. It is hard to tell what it will come out like from just looking at the ball of wool. this will then go in my shop.
I really really need to sort out my workspace so I can see what my next project is!
whoops..forgot the pic

I'm not sure what I'm going to do tonight. Probably some memory wire bracelets to help fill my stall at the Craft Fair I'm doing in November, they're quick and easy but quite boring to do. I'm very low on supplies at the moment but My Mum and my sister have gone to the show at Alexandra Palace today and I've given them a shopping list as long as my arm so hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to collect some lovely new things. I really wanted to go too but I'm working in the wrong part of London all weekend.
I meant to say that I really like the colours in that scarf Tamsyng.

Hmmm... I'll be varnishing hairbrush-&-mirror sets, and polishing bookmarks, most likely. Some are commissions that I can't post up anywhere yet, but some I can - I'll try to get some pics up!

This is what I would like to do more of tonight. I need to embellish it and make the necklace section.
