Hello
« on: 28 Jul 2012 20:43 »
Hi there, just introducing myself. My name is Grace and I live in Kent. A few years ago I used to sell at craft fairs as a hobbyist. I made jewellery and beady items, gift items from felt, crocheted or knitted hair accessories and cloth art dolls. Quite an eclectic mix and often I dabbled in things such as making pyrographed keyrings or windchimes too. I then had to give up due to caring responsibilities plus my own ill health. Several years on things have changed a bit and I am looking at moving to Cumbria soon and starting up crafts again, but this time on a business footing. I obviously have to stop dabbling and specialise a bit more. I have a lot of questions about the crafts scene in Cumbria and about how you go from hobby to business, and hope maybe to find some answers from kindly folk here. Grace x

Hi Grace, welcome! I did something similar though I found I was losing the enjoyment of crafts so I mostly make for myself now
