What are your weekend crafty plans?
« on: 28 Apr 2012 09:41 »
So, what are you up to craft-wise over the w/e?  I have 3 wallets to sew and a pair of patchwork baby booties too. My friend ordered the booties months ago, and of course I have left it until the last minute to do them... When will I ever learn?!  I'd love to sit and do some handsewing too - I've been reading about kantha stitching/quilting and I'd love to have a go.

I need to go and get some material to finish Darlas quilt so depending on the weather may venture out. Also need to make another dog bed so that's on my to do list...

I have been given a little space last minute at a vintage and craft fair so will be manically making stuff for it. Lots of embroidered goodies. :)

That looks like my kind of embroidery, Ali - will you do a blog post on it, pretty please? :)

This weekend I'm going to start cross stitching Bagpuss to make a door name place for my littlest one - she's moving (slowly) into her big sister's room so they must needs have matching ownership on the door too. :) I've also picked up an old granny square project - you remember the swap from a few years ago? I've been making more squares to match the ones I received and I've nearly got enough to make myself a nice wrap. I just can't figure out a pattern to put them all together - I can't make many more squares now as the yarn's been discontinued.

I just finished a rather tricky job as I had a couple of days off before the weekend.
Will post the pictures later as the subject is supposed to be a surprise for someone.
To be honest I'm kind of sad to be giving it away but then again I have to think why I started making it in the first place.

I rarely craft at the weekend. I try (don't always succeed) and spend more time with Mary.  Ok that could be crafting stuff.

Today I went ot Petersfield for the day. Tomorrow Mary and I are going swimming.  So I might have some time in the evening to finish making some buttons for an order.

Hi! I didn't really have any specific plans this weekend, but ended up sort of coming up with a logo design for my cards (in another post!) and today I've got to rummage around and find some of my favourite card designs I've done for various family events and scan them into my computer so I can finish putting together a portfolio of designs to get printed...

I found a tutorial via Pinterest for making nail polish jewellery, so I've been having a go at that, with OK results. I will blog about it later when I do my Pinterest challenge catch up.

Well done on all that crafting everyone... I made the mistake of trying to sort out my scraps by colour yesterday and spent all afternoon going 'is that blue or pink?', 'is this one green or orange?'. I should have stuck to my original system of keeping them jumbled up in a box...
