Felt and dressmaking

Do you think I could make a dress out of felt or would I get too much bulk at the seam or shrinkage when washing... ? Just a thought I just had.

I don't know much about sewing but I think I have seen a felt dress or something similar. All sorts of office-suits (kind of wintry ones) are often made of felt or some thick fabric.

I'd imagine it would shrink tbh unless you could get hold of pure wool felt. There are fabrics out there that are very similar in texture and look to felt.
