My first patchwork- finished

I spent many an hour sewing this afternoon and finished my first ever patchwork and quilted piece- a sewing machine cover ;)

Once I learned that chain piecing was the way to go, probably about 5 or 6 hours including quilting it, constructing it (trial and error) and trimming the bottom!

that looks fab! my machine only has the plastic cover.. I do keep meaning to make a real cover.. I just am too easily distracted by.... oohh what's that shiny thing?

I used to have a very thin nylony fabric cover and it got dirty in the house move so this was my answer- it's more of a sewing machine cosy if you will!

That looks fab. Patchwork really scares me - too distractible. And all that cutting and ironing. I'd have to have the PC off for a week to get anything done. :)

Did you find out the name of the material you were looking for, in the end?

have you got an andriod phone?
My fella has a HTC desire, and it has an app where it scans whatever you want and then it'll do an image search based on that.
That could work ... hmmm ... x
