i fell over today, in the middle of the road, slipped on black ice, went up in the air and landed on my right side and arm.  felt a right pratt, couldn't get back up so crawled to the roadside.  people actually ran over to make sure i was ok, lovely of them to do that but i still feel like a right prize idiot.

will update in the morning for bruise watch, i suspect my arse will be black and blue!

Ooh ouch. Time to smother yourself in arnica cream (it really does help).

I don't need snow/ice/rain/wind/anything to fall over - the presence of both my feet is sufficient as sooner or later i'll trip over one of them ;)

Oh dear. Big gentle hugs. hope you are not too sore today.
Fortunately the snow/ice has gone here and I avoided going out in it when there was lots.

Aww. We've been close - very nearly slipped over with baby in the sling and Big Girl holding on - but saved ourselves just in time. The school run is horrific, i've taken to walking on the gritted roads as much as possible.

My dad fell on Sunday, landed on his phone in his jacket pocket...he's black and blue.

Poor you.

I did slip and in trying to save myself bash my hand against a wall. Had a nice bruise for a couple of days.  But all our snow and ice went Saturday.

I hate ice and am thinking of getting those spike or coil things which strap onto the the sole of your shoes.

I bought a decent pair of Cat boots which are great in snow.  But Id on't know any footwear good on ice.  So why is it that when I am struggling along I see people wearing JUST trainers trotting along quite happily?

Well they are wearing clothes too.

I have a wonderful image in my head of where you live!!!

I think its all to do with confidence, we live at the bottom of a very steep hill we have to climb to school everyday and the boys happily skip down the steep icy path while I am walking like I've got piles and still slip and slide everywhere.  I've taken to walking in the road whick is more dangerous but less slippy daring the car drivers to honk at me so I can vent my fraustration at them - so far no one has dared yet, its all in the eyes  ;D ;D

Bah, we went down last night, all three of us - and not on the ice, but in the wet, squelchy mud which should have been safer! Oh well, not much more than my pride and my bum dented - I'm glad it was grass; we just got wet. I could easily have broken my wrist if I'd landed on the pavement.

All clear today but they're saying it's coming in worse next week - omg!

Well as most of you know, I wrote my new car off in the ice on a lamp post at the bottom of the hill and the airbags exploded the interior  :( . Hurt my shoulder a little on the seatbelt but I am mostly sad that I have lost my car and am desperately shopping for a new one so I can stay mobile.

I fell over on the ice last week outside the post office, luckily it has all melted over the last 2 days, hurray!
